HOMELESS OUTREACH – First Monday of each month 6:30pm in downtown San Diego Salvation Army to share food and fellowship with the growing number of less fortunate in San Diego. It is 90 minutes that will mean the world to those you serve. We distribute clothing, blankets, shoes, and other needed donations. see 825 Seventh Ave, SD 92101. CITY OF REFUGE – David and Christina DeWitt sold their comfortable home in North County several years ago and moved downtown to live and minister to many families who live there. Join them on Saturdays to pack groceries and distribute food and clothing to needy families. City of Refuge is located at 2452 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92102. PRISON MINISTRY – It is a wonderful privilege to be a vessel of God providing encouragement. There is a team that meets every Sunday from 3:45-7PM. Volunteers are not required to attend every week. The team begins with free time with the prisoners with music or a Christian movie or casual conversation. Then dinner for 30 minutes followed with a Bible study and small group discussion. RIDES AND SMILES – Would you drive a senior neighbor to a doctor’s appointment or to the store? You’ll receive liability insurance, mileage reimbursement. You choose which rides, if any, to give. For information, call Marilyn Greenblatt (858) 391-0033.
ABRAXAS – Churches of North County Inland have jointly adopted Abraxas High School. Abraxas, located in Poway, receives the least amount of funding of any school in the district, yet is vitally important. This school serves as the last chance most kids attending will have to get their lives back on track.
