Worshiping At God’s House

“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” Psalm 122:

David, the man after God’s own heart, spoke those words. Today, many thousands of years later, filling up God’s house with worshipers is still one of our greatest joys and one of the greatest ways to honor Him.

How would you like it if you threw a party, sent out a bunch of invitations, and nobody came? This is just how God feels when people neglect coming to His house! (Luke 14:15-24)

Coming to church to worship God isn’t just about us connecting with God, it’s God connecting with us! He gets blessed when we come to His house. It honors Him. It blesses Him. It brings Him joy. And when we realize this we can say with David, “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” Psalm 122:1
