Holiness – Living In The Fear Of God

As Friends of God, we are committing to live a life that honors God.

Living holy lives is one of the most misunderstood and most neglected truths in the Church today, and yet it results in a life packed with power! One of the first attributes mentioned about Cornelius is that he “feared God with all his household.” (Acts 10:1)

This is why so many believers are defeated. The Bible says we are first to “submit to God,” then, “resist the Devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

The Bible says that the “Fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.” (Pr. 14:27)

So what does it mean to fear the Lord? The Bible says, “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil…” (Pr. 8:13) It is simply honoring God by hating what He hates and loving what He loves. Now in ourselves this is impossible, but by drawing near to Him, He empowers us to live lives of victory
