From May 10 to June 10 we took the challenge to pray for 30 minutes for 30 days. We found this was such a personal and corporate blessing that we did it for another 3o days.  Be sure to ask around about the exciting things that happened during those 60 days.

Letter to church body for John Ettore:

If you have been at church and heard the testimonies from the 30/30 over the past few weeks, I’m sure you would agree with me that God has responded to us, and will continue to answer all the prayers that have been prayed. But here’s the thing, it doesn’t have to stop! This was an exercise in individual and corporate prayer to help cultivate prayer in our church family that, if we choose to, can continue to gain momentum and increase the results we’ve been seeing.

This should be an eye opener for us all that nothing can replace prayer. Nothing else produces the internal strength or the external results that prayer does. Nothing. Jesus said that His house would be called a “house of prayer for all nations”. I believe the reason He desires this is because He knows that that is the key to releasing heaven on earth.

My prayer for you is that you will take advantage of what we did together over the last 60 days and use it as a launching pad for a consistent prayer life. I like to use the illustration of a well. If you have ever pumped water at a well, using a hand pump, at first you have to pump it really fast, and continuously, until enough pressure builds up to get the water spurting out. Then, once it begins to flow, all you have to do is maintain a steady rhythm and the water will just keep rushing out in a steady stream.

I believe that is where we are at right now, the steady stream. But, if we stop, we’ll have to start all over again! So keep pumping. Maintain a steady rhythm of daily prayer, in your 30 minutes, but also throughout the day, and I believe we will continue to see remarkable things in all our lives.

Praying together,

John

Prayer Point: Pray for endurance. Ask God to give you the same endurance in prayer the Jesus had. He brought heaven on earth and so can we, through prayer.
