Last night, my daughter Brittney brought a friend over who is trying to build an entertainment career in Los Angeles. He is only 20, but he has already run into friends who go to palm readers, psychics, etc. and he had a lot of questions about the supernatural (fortunately I have studied this stuff). He was sure God and the Holy Spirit existed, but was unsure whether Jesus was the Son.

We talked over an hour, and then we decided Jesus would not waste an opportunity to help someone who was seeking like this. We asked the young man if any part of his body was injured or in pain and he said his back hurt on a scale of 6 out of 10.  Dawnette, Brittney and I laid hands on him, and asked Jesus to reveal himself to the young man, to heal his back, and to let him find the truth he was seeking.

There was immediate tingling and cold sensation running into his back and he was completely healed (and baffled!). He stood around the next 15 minutes moving his arms in a hundred directions and twisting around to see if he could make his back hurt again-but he could not. He left our house knowing there are supernatural powers at work in the world, but the only safe source is from God, and Jesus is necessary for our salvation.

He wants to bring some of his other friends over to talk further, and we will pray that God will give us the wisdom to handle their questions and be God’s hands to introduce them all to the Kingdom.
