I spoke with Pastor John after the service last week. This is my testimony of the power of healing prayers. Several weeks ago the message was on the power of healing prayers. The children were at the service, my son Samuel, who is in 3rd grade was quite moved by your testimony how the power of prayer helped to heal your hand.

There were several miracles that happened that day. I was having very severe stomach cramps that hurt so bad that I felt like I was going to get sick. I do not usually have any issues with my stomach and can’t remember the last time I felt the need to throw up. At the end of the service I went to get my son from the Sunday school, he told me about how he had learned that some people have the talent to heal and how God helps them to heal others through prayer.

He saw that I wasn’t feeling well, he asked me what was the matter. After I told him how bad my stomach was feeling, he asked me if he could pray for me. He faced me, placed both his hands on my shoulders and prayed for me to be healed. Within a matter of a few minutes, I no longer had any pain in my stomach.  My son has always been able to make others feel better by touch and hugs but this was the first time he and I experienced his talent to heal.

During the service, the prayer teams were asked to go up front and anyone who was suffering from some type of sleeping disorder were asked to come up. I have always had trouble sleeping ever since I can remember. I would often wake up several times during the night or not be able to get to sleep until 1 or 2 in the morning. I went up along with about 1/4 of the attendance that day. The miracle that came from this is that from that day forward I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP THROUGH.

The power to heal has been with my 3rd grader since that day. I have a friend who suffers from chronic back pain. A few weeks ago she was watching my son and had sever spams. He asked her what was wrong. When she told him, he asked her if he could say a healing prayer for her. She said yes. After he laid hands on her and prayed, she told me that she felt most of the pain go away.

I talked with my son and told him that I was giving his testimony and asked if he would be ok with it being shared with the congregation. He said that he thought it would be nice that others know the things God can do and the talents he gives people.
